$5
Outbid for $6 · #1 is clickalong.ai
Last updated · Content reviewed
outbid.earth is a world-map board where rank is lifetime dollars paid, not per-country standing: the single highest total anywhere wins the whole globe. At the time of our check, only one contribution existed: clickalong.ai claimed Indonesia for $5, the opening minimum. Total gross revenue on the live API was $5 from one paid bid.
Our take
The rules page is unusually precise for a novelty board: it spells out the $3 clearance minimum, that checkout does not reserve your rank, and that losing #1 never refunds you. The problem is there is almost nothing to rank against. One country claimed and $5 in gross revenue is closer to a test transaction than a market. An earlier scan of ours recorded three countries and $15 total, so the board has shrunk, not grown, since then.

How does outbid.earth work?
One global leaderboard themed as a world map. The first contribution to any country starts at $5. After that, a new leader must clear the current global leader by at least $3; that minimum is recalculated live from the ledger. Completed Stripe payments accumulate for the same URL and country, so the highest lifetime total anywhere on Earth ranks #1 worldwide. Losing the lead does not trigger a refund.
Bidding rules
- Every listing competes on one worldwide leaderboard, regardless of which country it picks.
- The first contribution to the board starts at $5.
- After that, a new leader must clear the current highest lifetime total by at least $3.
- Highest lifetime total ranks #1 worldwide. Equal totals favor whoever reached that total first.
- Getting outbid does not delete or refund you; your listing just moves down.
- Passing the minimum only starts a Stripe checkout. Rank is calculated after payment confirms, so another bidder can still beat you while you pay.
What does a listing include?
- Site name, URL, and tagline tied to a chosen country
- Lifetime dollar total, which is also the global rank
- Country label shown on the map slot
- Timestamp of the contribution
Is outbid.earth worth it?
Pros
- +Rules page clearly documents the $3 clearance minimum and the race-condition risk at checkout
- +Stripe is named as the processor
- +Simple global framing: one leaderboard, one #1, worldwide
- +$5 floor is cheap to test
- +Ties are handled by recorded time, stated plainly in the rules
Cons
- −Only one live contribution ($5, Indonesia) at the time of our check
- −An earlier scan found three claimed countries and $15 total; the board is smaller now, not bigger
- −No public click counter on the live entries
- −No refund if you are outbid or if the board never gains traffic
- −A country label is cosmetic; rank is global, not per-country
Who should advertise on outbid.earth?
- People testing the world-map genre with a $5 floor
- Anyone comfortable being an early, possibly only, entrant
- Sites fine with a lifetime-total mechanic rather than a simple per-slot bid
How it compares
Frequently asked questions
- How does ranking work on outbid.earth?
- There is one global leaderboard, not a separate ranking per country. Rank is lifetime dollars paid. The highest total anywhere on the map is #1 worldwide.
- How much does it cost to enter?
- The first contribution to the board is $5. After that, a new leader must clear the current global leader by at least $3, recalculated live from the ledger.
- How big is the board right now?
- At the time of our check, one contribution existed: clickalong.ai on Indonesia for $5, and $5 in total gross revenue. An earlier scan of ours found three claimed countries and $15 total, so the board has lost listings since then, not gained them.
- What happens if I lose the lead?
- Your site moves down. The rules state plainly that losing the top rank never triggers an automatic refund.
- Is my rank locked in once I start checkout?
- No. The rules say passing the minimum only creates a Stripe checkout; your position is calculated after Stripe confirms payment, and another bidder can complete a higher checkout while yours is still open.
