A nickel a pixel. Not an auction, just yours forever.
$5
Outbid for $0.05 · #1 is hi! :) i made this site!
Last updated · Content reviewed
millionnickelpage.com is a straight revival of the Million Dollar Homepage, at a fifth of a cent per pixel instead of a dollar. There is no bidding: you pick a spot on a fixed 1,000 x 1,000 grid, upload an image, and pay $0.05 per pixel through Stripe. The purchase is permanent. At the time of our check, 200 of 1,000,000 pixels were sold across two images, built by Sebastian Stoll.
Our take
This does not belong in the same bucket as most boards in this directory: there is no outbid mechanic, no rank, and nothing to lose once you have paid. That also makes it the most honest listing here for the specific thing it promises, a permanent pixel ad, hung by hand after review, for a nickel each. 200 of 1,000,000 pixels sold is early, so a large block is still cheap and visible. Judge it as a nostalgia buy, not as a ranked placement.

How does millionnickelpage.com work?
A fixed 1000x1000 canvas of one million pixels, priced at a flat $0.05 per pixel, no bidding involved. Upload an image, drag it onto the canvas, resize from any edge, and pay through Stripe. Once purchased, the spot is yours: there is no outbid mechanic, no rank to lose, and no expiry. A tribute to the original Million Dollar Homepage, linked from 400 pixels on it.
Bidding rules
- The canvas is a fixed 1,000 x 1,000 grid: exactly 1,000,000 pixels.
- Price is flat: $0.05 per pixel, no bidding.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. The spot is held the moment you pay.
- Images are hung by hand after review, not instantly.
- There is no outbid mechanic and no expiry once your image is placed.
What does a listing include?
- Your uploaded image (PNG, JPG, or GIF, up to 2MB), placed and resized on the canvas
- A permanent spot at $0.05 per pixel
- Manual review before the image is hung
- A place in the public history of who claimed what
Is millionnickelpage.com worth it?
Pros
- +Purchases are permanent; there is no outbid risk once you are hung
- +$0.05 per pixel is genuinely cheap for a lasting spot
- +Stripe checkout with manual review before your image goes live
- +A 1,000,000-pixel canvas leaves most of the grid open at the time of our check
- +Clear lineage: linked from 400 pixels on the original Million Dollar Homepage
Cons
- −This is not a bid or ranking mechanic, so it sits outside the outbid genre it is filed under
- −Manual, hand-hung review means placement is not instant
- −Only 200 of 1,000,000 pixels sold, so the canvas is mostly empty right now
- −No click counter or traffic stats are published
- −A large, eye-catching block still costs real money even at $0.05 a pixel: a 100x100 block is $500
Who should advertise on millionnickelpage.com?
- Nostalgia buys referencing the original Million Dollar Homepage
- Small image ads where permanence matters more than rank
- Early buyers who want a bigger, cheaper block before the canvas fills
