famebid.lol runs 50 separate leaderboards, one per US state, each with its own owner and price. Voting is free and drives a popularity count; owning a state's throne is a separate paid bid starting at $1. California currently leads in votes (72) while Florida's throne sells for $3. Our last scan found 4 states with active bids, $14 paid, and a $1.50 median CPC across those listings; the live board now shows 25 bids placed and $33 in combined value across the full map.
Our take
The 50-state structure is the real idea here: each state is its own tiny, independent bid war, so a $1 to $4 throne is realistic almost anywhere outside the biggest states. Free voting gives non-paying visitors a reason to return, and the state-by-state bid history is genuinely transparent. Growth from 4 to 25 bids and $14 to $33 since our last scan shows real, if small, activity. A $1.50 scan CPC on early listings is not cheap, but the per-state framing is a distinct hook compared to a single flat leaderboard.

How does famebid.lol work?
Every US state runs its own leaderboard. Anyone can vote for free to help a state rise in popularity. Separately, the highest paid bid owns a state's throne: $1 minimum, whole dollars, and taking an owned state costs at least $1 more than its current owner. Raising your own claim only costs the difference. States are fully independent; owning California does not affect Texas.
Bidding rules
- A state has one owner: whoever placed the highest paid bid on it.
- Bids are whole US dollars, $1 minimum. An unclaimed state goes to the first bid at that price.
- Taking an owned state costs at least $1 more than the current owner's bid.
- Raising your own bid on a state only costs the difference.
- Being outbid never erases your bid history; every bid stays on the record.
- One website can own as many states as it can outbid people for.
- Chat/invite links and adult content are not allowed. Query strings are stripped.
What does a listing include?
- State throne ownership with your site's title, description, and favicon
- Current bid price and full bid history for that state
- Public vote count and share of total votes
- Instant live updates when a throne changes hands
